US Bank Account for Non Residents | Business Bank Account Introduction Service
Many non US citizens want to do business in the United States. Unfortunately, many U.S. banks have made it nearly impossible to open a business bank account without an in-person visit.
With Covid-19 in the news since March, 2020, international travel has come to a trickle. This has made opening a bank account in person a near impossibility. However, there is one U.S. bank that will open a business bank account for non-US-residents. You can apply online with them from the comfort of your office or home using your computer.
What is this service?
This is a virtual bank. This means there are no brick and mortar locations. The business bank account comes with everything you would expect a bank to provide: checking account, savings account, ACH payments, debit cards, domestic and international wire transfers and check payments.
What types of companies are eligible for an account?
This bank can accept most U.S. companies. In fact, it prefers start-ups. There are some some businesses and items that the bank does not get involved with. These include: marijuana, illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, weapons, ammunition, cannabis-derived products or CBD, e-cigarettes, tobacco, e-liquids, adult entertainment and any items deemed illegal by the United States government.
What if I don't have an Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS?
The bank requires an employer identification number. If you are a non US citizen and do not have a social security number, please be prepared to wait awhile to get your employer identification number. If you have a social security number or you have a partner with a social security number, the process to get an EIN will be much easier.
Delaware Business Incorporators, Inc. is not involved in the application or approval process. The bank opens U.S. business bank accounts at their sole discretion.
