Apostille Service
Apostille is a French word which means "a certification". It is commonly used in English to refer to the legalization of a document for international use under the terms of the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents.
An Apostille can be obtained for any document filed with the Delaware Secretary of State. If an Apostille is needed for a non-public document, such as an Operating Agreement , the document must first be notarized by a Delaware Notary Public. DBI has Delaware Notary Publics on staff.
The Secretary of State's office typically produces an Apostille in 2-6 weeks. Expedited Service is available for an additional fee.
