Q: What is a Registered Agent, and why do I need one?

A: The Delaware General Corporation Law subchapter III sub-section 131-132 and The Delaware Limited Liability Company Act sub-section 18-104 require all corporations registered in Delaware to maintain a Registered Office and Registered Agent in Delaware.  The Registered Office must be available to accept service of process during normal business hours, and the Registered Agent acts as a liaison between the Delaware Secretary of State and the corporation.  DBI will act as your Registered Agent and Registered Office in Delaware.
